The Mercer Island girls soccer team narrowly defeated Holy Names Academy 2-1. Jordan Snyder put the Islanders on the board in the 26th minute, scoring off an assist from Emily Arron. Nov. 1, 2016 - MIHS Varsity wins 2-1 over Lake Washington and advances to the Metro Crossover.
Lake Washington (11-6-1) led 1-0 after a goal in the 17th minute. The Islanders (10-6-2) responded in the 38th minute, when Kendall Riley found the back of the net off an assist from Jordan Snyder. The Mercer Island girls soccer team beat the Redmond Mustangs in penalty kicks to win its KingCo 3A tournament loser-out matchup 2-1.
